About this work

Standing woman wearing a bodice of 'guinguan' with an embroidered leaf motif. Tulle pelerine. On her head, a capote of 'paille de riz' and 'gros de Naples'. Walking stick or parasol in hand. Seated figure in a similar bodice, seen from the back. Print from the fashion magazine *Petit Courrier des Dames* (1821–1868). Bound (with a few pages of *Le Journal des Dames et des Modes*). 15 January 1827 to 20 March 1830. Incomplete.
