Elegant Man and Woman with a Black Page

Woman in robe volante over which a mantle with train is held up by a black servant in livery. She wears a cap on her head and has her hands in a fur muff. On the right a man dressed in justaucorps with fur cuffs, underneath a waistcoat and shirt. Around his waist a sash, from which hangs a large fur muff. In his right hand a tricorne. (Decorative) sword on the left side. The print is part of a series of five costume prints titled Les Modes du Mercure de France, 1726-1730.
