Man seen from the front, right hand on hip, dressed in a frock coat with a double row of buttons (of which only two are in the buttonhole), breeches and boots. Cravate around his neck. Hat with wide brim. His left hand rests on a walking stick with ribbon and tassels. No. 7 from a series of 24 costume prints titled 'Suite des Nouvelles Modes Françaises depuis 1778 jusqu'à ce jour, dessiné d'après nature par C.L. Desrais.' Without legend. The edition with legend states that the man is an elegant ladies' hairdresser who is going to the grand Salon.
