About this work
Young woman, seen from the back, holding a child. She wears a caraco à la Polonaise and a skirt, trimmed with bands and piping of a different color. Apron with a pocket. On the high hairstyle, a straw hat trimmed with ribbon and decorated with tulle in the shape of a mushroom. Shoes with heels and buckles. From series cc. 27th Cahier de Costumes Français, 21st Suite d'Habillemens à la mode en 1779, Gallerie des Modes et Costumes Français.
