Woman seen from the back, dressed in a cashmere spencer with satin 'épaulettes'. 'Robe de lévantine' (gown), trimmed with a matching 'rouleaux'. On her head a satin bonnet adorned with curly feathers. Flat shoes with a bow. Trial proof of a print from the fashion magazine Journal des Dames et des Modes, published by Pierre de la Mésangère, Paris, 1797-1839.
