About this work

Standing woman in a spotted redingote and mantelet. Necklace with a cross-shaped pendant. Seated figure, seen from the back, in a similar pink redingote. According to the caption: hat of 'paille d'Italie' adorned with corn from the shops of Flogny. Redingote of 'mousseline anglaise'. 'Mantelet' or small shoulder cape of 'poult de soie' from the workshops of H. Larcher. Print from the fashion magazine Le Follet Courrier des Salons (1829-1882).
