About this work

From left to right. Two buckles, with an oval and a rectangular shape. Woman dressed in a pink/white caraco and a skirt with train of white satin. Around the neck a fichu. Accessories: cap decorated with ribbon and flowers, long gloves, folding fan. Woman, seen from the back, dressed in a 'caraco à la Circassienne' of purple satin on a skirt with double falbala. The print is part of the 35th Cahier, 3rd year, from the series Magasin des Modes Nouvelles Françaises et Anglaises. The series consists of 172 fashion prints, published by Buisson, Paris, 20 November 1786 – 21 December 1789.
