About this work

Woman wearing a hat decorated with 'chicory'. She wears a dress with a low neckline, short sleeves, high waist, and a train. Further accessories: long gloves, a scarf trimmed with fringe, and flat shoes with straps over the instep. The print is part of the fashion magazine Journal des Dames et des Modes, published by Pierre de la Mésangère, Paris, 1797-1839.
