About this work
Man and woman on a terrace of the Villa d'Este near Rome, at evening. The man kisses the lady's hand. The woman is dressed in an evening gown with a flat V-neck, over which is a loose shoulder cape fastened with a cord and tassels. On her head, a hat made of the same fabric as the gown. The man wears a grey suit and brown shoes. Print from the series Falbalas & Fanfreluches (1922-1926).
