About this work
Woman in a redingote of light grey taffeta with three shoulder collars and a scalloped hem, suitable for half-mourning. Walking stick in hand. On her head a straw hat decorated with feathers, ribbon and bows. The print is part of the 20th Cahier from Cabinet des Modes ou les Modes Nouvelles. The series consists of 72 fashion prints, published by Buisson, Paris, 15 November 1785 - 1 November 1786.
