Standing woman dressed in a redingote of satin with patch pockets(?), collar and cuffs of fox fur. Underneath she wears a neckerchief and a skirt of purple satin. Ruffled collar(?) and cuffs. On her head a high hat decorated with ribbon, trimmed with fur. Her hair is wrapped in a band of black fabric. Further accessories: earrings, gloves, walking stick with gold knob. The print is part of the 11th Cahier, 2nd year, from the series Magasin des Modes Nouvelles Françaises et Anglaises. The series consists of 172 fashion prints, published by Buisson, Paris, 20 November 1786 - 21 December 1789. These English women are taken from The Fashionable Magazine London 1786-1787.
