About this work

Six caps and hats: 1. Hat with high crown of pink taffeta; 2. Pink straw hat trimmed with black ribbon; 3. White straw hat with purple ribbon; 4. Purple cap or 'demi-bonnet'; 5. 'Pouf' of white gauze; 6. 'Pouf' of sky-blue gauze. Print from the 25th Cahier from the series Magasin des Modes Nouvelles Françaises et Anglaises. The series consists of 172 fashion prints, published by Buisson, Paris, 20 November 1786 – 21 December 1789.
