Woman to the right, on her head a 'capote' of straw, decorated with taffeta and gathered on both sides. She wears a polka-dotted gown with short sleeves, skirt trimmed with a floral and leaf motif. Further accessories: earring in the right ear, necklace, long scarf around the shoulders, long glove, fan, shoes. Small bouquet of flowers in the right hand. The print is part of the fashion magazine Journal des Dames et des Modes, published by Pierre de la Mésangère, Paris, 1797-1839.
