About this work

In the upper frame four girls with 'bloomers' and a woman with a mantle. In the lower frame a woman with a hat of 'velours épinglé'. Mantle of velvet decorated with lace on a checkered skirt. The woman on the right has a 'capote' of satin and 'velours épinglé'. Dress of satin decorated with festoons. Between them stand three girls, one of whom is sitting on a bench. Print from the fashion magazine Townsends Monthly Selection of Parisian Costumes (London 1823-1888).
