About this work

Woman from Paris dressed in 'vollem Anzuge' according to the latest fashion. She wears a jacket, the hem of the skirt of which is adorned with a flower and leaf motif. Collar and three-quarter sleeves trimmed with two ruffled strips of fabric. Accessories: cap with ostrich feathers, earrings, necklace, fichu, long gloves, fan, shoes. Print from the fashion magazine Journal des Luxus und der Moden, published by Friedrich Justin Bertuch and Georg Melchior Kraus, Weimar, 1786-1826.
