About this work

Four women, half-length, numbered 1, 2 and 3, divided into two frames. The two women of number 1 are a copy of Pl. 2385, 20 février 1826, from Journal des Dames et des Modes, published by Pierre de la Mésangère, Paris, 1797-1839. On this the costumes are shown in their entirety: cap of Blonde (bobbin lace) decorated with flowers from the shop of Doyen-Huet. Gown of cashmere decorated with 'chefs' of cashmere. 'Palatine' of marabou feathers. Print from the fashion magazine Journal des Dames et des Modes, Frankfurt-am-Main, 1798-1848.
