About this work

'Incroyable' with a 'chapeau en Bateau' on his head. He wears an 'habit' in the color 'crotin' with two rows of buttons. Underneath, a striped waistcoat and leather breeches. Further accessories: Lorgnette on a cord, cravat, gloves, locket, whip, two-tone boots with square toes and spurs. The print is part of a series of 33 fashion prints, engraved by George Jacques Gatine, Paris, 1810-1818.
