About this work
Standing woman dressed in a 'Cotepalie'(?) bodice garnished with ruffled strips of fabric with a scalloped hem. Tulle pelerine. On her head a hat of 'paille d'Italie'. In the right hand a walking stick that can also be used as an umbrella. Further accessories: gloves, bracelets on both wrists, handkerchief. To the right, a sitting woman, seen from the back, dressed in the same bodice. Print from the fashion magazine *Petit Courrier des Dames* (1821-1868).
