About this work

Two women by an open fireplace. On their heads they wear caps of 'blonde' (bobbin lace) with flaps. Gowns of 'satin moiré'. Further accessories: earrings, gloves, handkerchief, flat shoes with square toes. Print from the fashion magazine La Mode (1829-1855).
