About this work

Woman in a jacket with gathered strip of 'organdi de l'Inde' from the shops of Delisle. Around the arm a scarf of 'câchemire des Indes' by Helye Pessonneaux. On her head a bonnet of 'paille de riz' with hanging (?) feathers of the bird of paradise, by Lemonnier. She stands before an etagère with Chinese porcelain 'potiche cornet et rocailles' by Lesage. Print from the fashion magazine La Mode (1829-1855).
