Hat of black and green velvet decorated with black lace. Right: 'toilette parée'. Dress of brocaded 'moire antique' with dot pattern 'soie véloutée', decorated with purple velvet and black lace. Below the scene a few lines of advertising text for various products. Print from the fashion magazine Moniteur des Dames et des Demoiselles (1854-1902). The same print (but with a slightly different caption) was also included in 'Le Journal des Dames et des Demoiselles', Edition Belge, No. 1.1, 1858. With an extensive description of the clothing on p. 90 "DESCRIPTION DE LA PLANCHE DE MODES."
