About this work

Three women in an interior. The woman on the left is dressed in a pink faille gown with a bustle. The skirt is decorated at the bottom with a flounce of pleated white 'tarlatane'. The middle woman wears a skirt of plain purple 'pou-de-soie' with a bustle and a 'Tunique' of 'gaze de Chambéry' in the same shade, held up on both sides. Below the image, several lines of advertising text for various products follow. Print from the fashion magazine La Mode Miniature (1872-1873). The print is a copy of 1069B from the fashion magazine 'Le Journal des Dames et des Demoiselles' (1841-1902).
