About this work
Paul Poiret sparked off a revolution with the colours, embellishment and clean lines of his gowns, which required no corset underneath. Realizing that his new designs called for a new style of presentation, he hired the young artist Paul Iribe to create a promotional album. With his simple, streamlined aesthetic, Iribe in turn caused a revolution in the world of fashion illustration.
