The accompanying text in the magazine (p. 200) states: Fig 1: Straw hat, decorated with a festooned sash of gauze and embroidered with silk. Jacket of cotton batiste (percale), garnished with puffed strips of muslin. Shawl of Barège-cashmere. White gloves. Yellow shoes. Fig. 2: Capote of plain gauze, decorated with strawberry-ananas. Redingote of Indian muslin, lined with 'Florence'. Mantle of tulle of twisted yarn. Yellow gloves. Masked lacing boots. The print is part of the fashion magazine Journal des Dames et des Modes, published in Frankfurt as a copy of the French edition by Pierre de la Mésangère, Paris, 1797-1839.
