About this work

Two women in summer dresses. Left: a dress with mameluke sleeves and a wide skirt. Right: a dress decorated horizontally with multicolored braided cords, ending in bows with tassels. Wide sleeves and puffed under-sleeves. Accessories: fanchon decorated with flowers, brooch, bracelets, short gloves, fan (?). They stand by a staircase with garden vases. The same print was used in the fashion magazine Journal des Jeunes Personnes, March 1858. Print from the fashion magazine Le Magasin des Familles (Sept. 1849 - July 1878).
