About this work
Caricature of a dandy dressing at home (left) and how he dresses on the street abroad (right). At home he sits in his underwear before a mirror, tying his cravat. On the street he stands bent forward, looking through his lorgnette. He wears a frock coat and long trousers. Below, a shirt with a large ruffled jabot. Accessories: hat, monocle, gloves, fob, walking stick, heeled boots with spurs.
