About this work
Christ stands on the shore. Peter attempts to walk on the water, while four fishermen float on the water in two boats (Mt. 14: 31). On the opposite shore, a city is visible that overflows into a wooded ridge. In the background, a mountain range is visible. The foreground on the left is dominated by a tree.
