About this work

Lieutenant-General Nozu on horseback in the battle at Pyongyang. Behind him in the distance General-Major Tatsumi is also on horseback in the battle and to the left in the distance General Ôshima. On 15 September 1894 the Japanese troops drove the Chinese army out of Pyongyang, during the First Sino-Japanese War (1894-1895).
