The high priest Simeon holds the Christ Child in his arms, who has been brought to the temple by Mary and Joseph. They kneel before the altar with a pair of doves in their hands. The dove of the Holy Spirit descends upon the Child. The prophetess Anna and others watch. In the margin, a six-line caption in two columns in Latin. The print is part of an album.
