About this work

Two disciples are on their way to Emmaus. On the way they meet Christ, whom they do not recognize. They walk a distance with him. The three men are dressed as pilgrims. In the background in the castle the meal at Emmaus is depicted. Christ sits at a table with two disciples. He is recognized because he blesses the bread. The print is part of an album.
