About this work

Bound series of 32 prints, mostly of an erotic nature, dedicated to the scandal surrounding Marie-Catherine Cadière and the Jesuit Jean-Baptiste Girard in 1730–1731. The scenes depict the increasingly sexual relationship between the priest and his pupil, observed by one or more devils. The plates at the bottom have been cut off, so the captions are missing. With a handwritten title page.
