About this work

Round fountain at the corner of a gallery. The basin is supported by water-spouting sphinxes. Above the basin stands on a console Moses striking water from the rock. He stands before a niche in the corner of the wall and under a round canopy. To the right, a man leans against the balustrade. Another man scoops water from the fountain with a jug.
