About this work
Juno, in the guise of Semele's old nurse Beroë, advises Semele to ask Jupiter to show himself in his full majesty. Only then can she be sure that the father of the child in her womb is a god and not a mere mortal. In the lower margin a four-line explanation in two columns in Latin.
