About this work

The element fire, depicted as a naked man lying against a rock and holding lightning in his right hand. At his left foot a salamander. In the background to the right, the sacrifice of Elijah consumed by fire (1 Kings 18: 26-35). The whole within an oval cartouche with a putto in each corner. The print is part of an album.
