About this work
Hill landscape with a river. God reveals himself to Jacob in Bethel. He gives Jacob the name Israel and promises him the land of Abraham and Isaac. Jacob then sets up an altar and dedicates it by pouring oil over it (Gen. 35:14). A tetragram replaces the image of God the Father here. The print is part of an album.
