About this work

The rich man lies on his deathbed. His wife and children mourn the dead. Devils take the soul of the rich man to hell. On the right in the background a grave is dug on earth for the man. On the left in the background it can be seen how the soul of Lazarus is taken to heaven by an angel. Letters are placed at various elements of the representation. The print is part of an album.
