The Parable of the Wedding Feast

The king gives a wedding feast for his son. He sits on his throne with his son and his bride beside him. The king sent his servants out to invite the wedding guests, but they did not want to come. In the background it is seen that some people murder the servants. The city of the murderers is subsequently set on fire. One of the guests in the hall did not have a wedding garment on. The king ordered his courtiers to bind this man hand and foot and throw him out 'into the outer darkness, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth'. Letters are placed at various elements of the composition. The print is part of an album.
