About this work

Warriors with swords and spears fight within the walls of a city. In the background, the inhabitants flee and buildings are on fire. The subject is used, among others, as an illustration of the fall of the city of Jerusalem in 70 AD and the destruction of the great temple by Titus. The print forms part of an album.
