About this work
In an archway, Antigonus, son of Hyrcanus, is killed by the bodyguard of his brother and king Aristobulus. The bodyguard suspected that Antigonus was plotting against Aristobulus. Aristobulus was deeply affected by the news of his brother's death, fell ill and died. The print forms part of an album.
