About this work

After the sabbath, the three Marys come to look at the tomb of Christ. An angel has descended from heaven and rolled away the stone in front of the tomb. The guards lie dead on the ground. The angel tells the three Marys that Christ has risen from the dead. Letters are placed at various elements of the scene. The print is part of an album.
