Mary at her desk in her sleeping chamber. She is visited by the angel Gabriel in God's command. He tells her that she will bear a son who will be called Christ. From heaven an angel descends with a lily. In the background to the left the crucifixion of Christ. Letters stand next to various elements of the scene. The print is part of an album.
