About this work
On a stack of books stands the writer Christlob Mylius, dressed in a cloak made of stitched-together text sheets. On his head lies an open book with an inkpot and in his hand he holds a bundle of quills. Next to the stack on the left a boy with a book under his arm relieving himself and on the right two men with books under their arms.
