About this work

On a courtyard in front of a farm or inn stands a man with a viewing cabinet. Around him men, women and children have gathered. In the background a child with a hoop runs up. Under the image an eight-line inscription and the coat of arms of Claude Alexander de Villeneuve, Count of Vence, with an angel on each side.
