About this work
Interior of an auction hall where a print auction is taking place. In the middle of the table sits the auctioneer, Hassel Hutchins. Opposite him in the shadow sits his clerk behind a desk. The interested parties, partly known print dealers and collectors, sit and stand behind long tables. Two holders show a print and an album.
