About this work

A statue of the god Jupiter, ruler of gods and mortals and supreme god of the twelve Olympians. Here he holds the thunderbolt, a bundle of flames, raised in his right hand. On the pedestal, the coat of arms of Vincenzo Giustiniani. The print is part of an album with a series of prints after the sculptures in the collection in the Galleria Giustiniani in Rome.
