About this work
Statue of a young naked gladiator holding a sword hilt in his hand. His shield leans against his leg, and on his head he wears a helmet decorated with a small animal figure. On the base is the coat of arms of Vincenzo Giustiniani. The print is part of an album containing a series of prints after the sculptures in the collection of the Galleria Giustiniani in Rome.
