About this work

According to the inscription a Turkish soldier under Sultan Süleyman I the Magnificent, but copied from the print of a Spanish warrior with a shield. Part of the costume book titled 'Omnium fere gentium nostrae aetatis habitus, nunquam ante hac aediti', Venice 1569. Reprint of 1569 of the first edition of 1563.
