About this work
Bas-relief depicting the abduction of Proserpina. Pluto, king of the underworld, drags Proserpina along in his chariot. Minerva tries to stop Pluto. Mercury leads the horses of the chariot. The companions of Proserpina are left behind. The print is part of an album with a series of prints after the sculptures in the collection in the Galleria Giustiniani in Rome.
