About this work
Kiyomori dries his hands on a towel. In the light of a lantern, he sees, in mirror image, a poem on the sliding door. It was written on the other side of the door by one of his lovers, Giô, just before she left him. Scene from a kabuki play. Poem by Egyô Hôshi.
