About this work
An emblem with two scenes. Above, a dog in front of a tree. Below, a bird of prey with a feather or palm branch, surrounded by four thunderbolts of Jupiter. These are the devices of Bona Sforza, wife of Sigismund I of Poland, and Sigismund II Augustus.
